Sales and prices continued to trend upward in January. This trend began late fall as buyers returned to the market. The Toronto market started off the year strong with multiple offers and an increase in both prices and sales volume. The exception remains the condo market which continues to lag and presents some real opportunities for buyers over the next 2 years. Sotheby's International Realty Top Tier Real Estate Luxury Report was released this past week and the general feeling is one of optimism about real estate in general.
In waterfront real estate we saw a lift in sales and an overall strengthening in the market over the late fall as buyer confidence returned. I am optimistic this will continue into the spring market. Well priced properties are selling.
